winning!

Anyone get the Charlie Sheen reference?

I'M. SO. HAPPY.
Words cannot describe this.
So please allow me to have a moment and describe my blogging experience. Hang in with me and don't unsubscribe with disgust at my cheesy reminiscing.

I used to think that blogging was for people who had too much time. Or for people who couldn't do anything else but post pictures of their dog in the internet.
But last September, I decided to give it a go.
Mainly because I had too much time too.

My first posts were awful.
Don't read them.
But now I actually really enjoy blogging.
It's fun. (I can't believe I'm saying this.)

But I have to say that the only reason I'm still doing this is because people actually read it.
That boggles my mind and it makes me wonder if people have things better to do than read my opinion on flash mobs.
But it makes me feel special and loved, even though it's through a computer.
So thank you.

Okay, I'm done gushing.
Ew, Ashley, you're right. Gushing is such a gross word.

So here are the rules:

1.  Accept the award and thank the award-giver.
2. Award any deserving blogger that comes to mind.
3. Do the 'a picture from my camera' thing which you upload any random picture that you've taken from you/your friend's cellphone/camera and write a funny/sad/interesting/disgusting/sweet/lame/awesome caption for it.

After much thought, I've decided to give this to Delaney.
She has this unique style of writing, and she talks about everything you can think of, from bonfires to eating habits.
Also, after every post, she has these postscripts that make you go "Aha! I never knew that!" It's cool.
I'm no good at shameless advertising, so please got take a look at her blog.
You won't regret it.

Picture:

This was some conference room that I saw at a ski resort I went to.
And I took a picture of it.
Why?
Because "Ketchum" is Ash Ketchum's last name.
He's the main guy from Pokemon show with the Pikachu.
I'm a bit obsessed.

This was probably the longest post I've ever written. Wow.

stickers & Mr.Yuk.

When I was little, I loved stickers. I would hoard them and place all my stickers in a Nike shoebox in the middle of my bookshelf.

I hated how you can only use them once. Meaning that you have to choose carefully where you want it. Meaning you have to find something that's worthy of you gracing its presence with a sticker.

But once in a while, I would go on a huge sticker binge.
I would go around, my Shoebox o' Stickers in hand and I would put them everywhere and anywhere I wanted.

I remember this one time in First Grade, a guest speaker came in to talk to us about the importance of not eating random things. And that day, we all left with 12 "Mr.Yuk" stickers.

The speaker instructed us to put these stickers on anything that wasn't edible.
When I went home, I went ballistic.

Look, there's a wall, I can't eat that. It needs a sticker. That book doesn't taste good. It needs a sticker. That lightbulb is awfully bright. It needs a sticker. And lemme stick five more of these ugly green faces on the perfectly clean white wall while I'm at it.
You know, just in case I wanna eat it.

The Mr.Yuk is still there in our house, underneath the white paint my mom desperately smothered over it so our house value wouldn't go down.

i can't throw stuff away.

So I was cleaning out my old stuff that I managed to shove in the corners of my room yesterday. And I realized that I have this dangerous condition that prevents me from throwing anything away.

I call it The-Inability-To-Throw-Old-Shit-Away Syndrome.

It's based on the thinking that everything will give me memories of my teenage years when I'm eighty or something.

Like my sixth grade agenda book. Or a random English essay. Or a random art project I got a B- on. Or my favorite pencil that's sharpened down to a stub.

I'm not able to throw it all away, and it's stacked in mountains inside my closet. Originally, I used it to hang my clothes in. Too late for that now. My random crap has taken over.

It's like a freaking monster. And I'm letting it grow larger with my Inability-To-Throw-Old-Shit-Away Syndrome.

So after a few hours of hardcore cleaning, the only thing I managed to throw away was a old pack of gum and an empty bottle of hand sanitizer.

I need help.... <3 Fi
