my dork moment.

I found this picture on the internet. And I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Pokemon drawn on eggs?
I really don't think it gets any better than that.

winning!

Anyone get the Charlie Sheen reference?

I'M. SO. HAPPY.
Words cannot describe this.
So please allow me to have a moment and describe my blogging experience. Hang in with me and don't unsubscribe with disgust at my cheesy reminiscing.

I used to think that blogging was for people who had too much time. Or for people who couldn't do anything else but post pictures of their dog in the internet.
But last September, I decided to give it a go.
Mainly because I had too much time too.

My first posts were awful.
Don't read them.
But now I actually really enjoy blogging.
It's fun. (I can't believe I'm saying this.)

But I have to say that the only reason I'm still doing this is because people actually read it.
That boggles my mind and it makes me wonder if people have things better to do than read my opinion on flash mobs.
But it makes me feel special and loved, even though it's through a computer.
So thank you.

Okay, I'm done gushing.
Ew, Ashley, you're right. Gushing is such a gross word.

So here are the rules:

1.  Accept the award and thank the award-giver.
2. Award any deserving blogger that comes to mind.
3. Do the 'a picture from my camera' thing which you upload any random picture that you've taken from you/your friend's cellphone/camera and write a funny/sad/interesting/disgusting/sweet/lame/awesome caption for it.

After much thought, I've decided to give this to Delaney.
She has this unique style of writing, and she talks about everything you can think of, from bonfires to eating habits.
Also, after every post, she has these postscripts that make you go "Aha! I never knew that!" It's cool.
I'm no good at shameless advertising, so please got take a look at her blog.
You won't regret it.

Picture:

This was some conference room that I saw at a ski resort I went to.
And I took a picture of it.
Why?
Because "Ketchum" is Ash Ketchum's last name.
He's the main guy from Pokemon show with the Pikachu.
I'm a bit obsessed.

This was probably the longest post I've ever written. Wow.

how pokemon changed my life.

Pokemon is my life.
I'm a dork. I know.

When I was in first grade, those Pokemon card games were what we all played because we lived in a very rural area and we had nothing else to do. (I would pass about four farms on my way to school.)
I remember watching all the cool fifth graders play it on the playground at recess.

There was always a huge crowd around them, filled with jealous kids who's parents wouldn't buy them the Pokemon card packs at Walmart.
I watched the fifth graders every single day.
Eventually, there was always a space reserved for me.
It was like a VIP seat and it was great.

Of course, I owned a few cards of my own.
But they were the ones nobody wanted. It became routine for kids I've never seen before come up to me and give me all the ones they didn't want.
They were normally weak Pokemon like Magikarp and Caterpie.
But sometimes, I would get some a Charizard or Articuno from those who felt bad for me.

One day where I challenged this fifth grader to a battle. It was really scary, because James (That was his name) was twice my height and had really big muscles.

The whole school heard about my epic challenge, and gathered around the playground to watch.
AND I BEAT HIM.
It was the happiest moment in my life.
And more than eight years later, I still remember that.

A few weeks ago, I found James on Facebook.
He rejected my friend request.
I guess he still remembers that day too.
